Naples Pool Company, Aqua Illusions, Hires Steve Baker as the Company's New Vice President
Naples Pool Company, Aqua Illusions, who is the sister company to Pool Pros, Inc. has hired Steve Baker as their newest Vice President.

FORT MYERS, FL, July 24, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Naples Pool Company, Aqua Illusions, sister company of Southwest Florida's Pool Pros, Inc., has hired Steve Baker, formerly of Baker Contracting, as the company's newest Vice President.

Steve started out working at the very young age of 10 assisting his father with new home construction projects. But as the recession hit in the 1970s, he found himself looking for better opportunities. Though Steve was born in Kokomo, Indiana, it was a happy accident that brought him to Fort Myers, Florida.

In 1979, he worked his first job in the pool business. He trained in all various areas of pool construction and gained proficiency and skill through hands-on experience, eventually earning his residential pool contractor's license. In 1990, Steve opened Baker Contracting. But it wasn't until 1993 when he was re-certified as a commercial pool and spa contractor that doors really began to open up for him and he began earning many million-dollar contracts, including one in the Bahamas for a 27,800 square-foot pool!

Because more and more residential home owners are adding to and renovating their homes, rather than moving to other homes, several home owners are adding pools to their back yard to increase their home value and their overall enjoyment of their home.

And, due to the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act--which was signed into law on December 17, 2007, commercial construction and remodeling is also seeing an increase in demand, based on the new legislative changes put in place this year.
