New Approach Offers Builders and Real Estate Agents Increased Support for Selling Homes
On any given day, there are thousands of families who are searching to buy a new home in the Triangle area. For Sale By Builder Magazine is offering help to local builders and realtors to reach home buyers and sellers.

CHAPEL HILL, NC, March 02, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- For Sale by Builder Magazine unveiled today their new magazine design, complete with features that can help builders and real estate agents sell more homes. The magazines are available to consumers for free inside triangle area grocery stores.

On any given day, there are thousands of families who are searching to buy a new home in the Triangle area. This is still true even as we read the reports of gloom and doom about high unemployment, stricter lending rules and fears that prices will continue to fall.

True, a rising number of foreclosures are weighing down prices. But there are still sellers and buyers out there who need help. For Sale By Builder Magazine is offering such help to builders and real estate agents.

For Builders

In today's market, people are seeking move-in, top condition homes - new carpets, new everything. Builders have the most to gain from this mindset. Kim Johnson, owner of For Sale By Builder Magazine offers this thought. "Buyers we talk to seem weary of older homes because of potential problems associated with older roofs, older furnaces, inefficient energy components, and outdated plumbing and electrical systems.

We are offering builders the opportunity to share their new home messages with high visibility but at a very low cost."

For Real Estate Agents

Home listings in 2011 are taking a longer time to sell than they did five years ago. The longer selling cycle limits the amount of marketing money real estate agents are allocating to their marketing budget. As a result, over the last several years many real estate agents have abandoned their print strategy.

Johnson believes this leaves a great opportunity for those that do advertise in print because feature homes do not get lost amongst thousands of other choices. She adds print advertising is an effective tool that has long been overlooked in this market. Her magazine has plans to prove that print is an effective medium that can provide results and provide a great return on investment.

Johnson shares that her magazine offers real estate agents an opportunity to add a strong print strategy to their existing MLS, direct mail and online approach. "Most sellers expect their real estate agents to market their homes through all mediums," says Johnson. " Yet real estate agents have limited print options available. We are focusing on the magazine to make sure it produces results for builders and real estate agents."

A New Approach

What makes For Sale by Builder Magazine's approach so different is that individual home ads are organized by area and price. This means buyers can quickly and easily navigate the home offerings, allowing them to focus on the feature homes. Johnson believes the most effective way to advertise a neighborhood is by focusing on the key component, the unique characteristics of the homes. The emotion is tied to the home.
