Exceptional Environmental Planner Joins The Stanford Who's Who Team
James D. Dougherty has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his exceptional effort in the Engineering Industry.

RENTON, WA, January 9, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- James D. Dougherty has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his exceptional effort in the Engineering Industry. As an Environmental Planner and Biologist with Gray & Osborne Inc. for the past 11 years, Mr. Dougherty has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.

Established in 1935, Gray & Osborne Inc. is a civil engineering consulting firm which provides multi-discipline consulting engineering services solely to municipalities, special purpose districts, and county, state and federal agency. They have a combined staff of over 155 full-time employees, including licensed professional engineers in various disciplines, construction management engineers and professional land surveyors. Gray & Osborne provides environmental engineering assessments of water, road and community projects, waste water treatment, special purpose districts and regulatory advice.

Mr. Dougherty has 30 years of valuable experience in the industry. He is responsible for obtaining federal, state and local permits, grants and/or loans for all projects. James also maintains contact with over 100 engineers to keep them informed of new and existing regulations and requirements. In addition, he provides up to the minute advisories as needed.

During his educational career, James earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Western Washington University in 1979 and an Advanced Open Water Diving Certification in 1976. He is a FEMA Incident Commander for the Citizens Emergency Response Team. Mr. Dougherty appears on talk radio regarding FEMA Earthquake Preparedness. He has been featured in Diver for Arctic ice diving in Alaska and has been asked by Western Washington University to lecture regarding FEMA activities.
