Georgia Construction Firm Promotes Smith to Senior Vice President, Partner

ATLANTA, GA, February 01, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Parrish Construction Group has hit the ground running in 2012. Along with several projects and a new branding effort, the Georgia construction firm specializing in education, industrial and commercial construction has recently promoted Rodney Smith to Senior Vice President and Partner.

Smith joined Parrish in 2002 as an Assistant Project Manager and was promoted to Project Manager in 2003. In 2006 Smith was tapped to become the company's Director of Business Development and during his six years in that role, average corporate revenues have grown from less than $20 million to more than $50 million per year. In 2010 Smith became an officer of the company when he was promoted to Vice President.

As Partner and Senior Vice President Smith's responsibilities will expand from day to day management of Parrish's business development efforts to include sharing overall operational oversight responsibilities of the company with Dave Cyr, President of Parrish Construction Group. In addition to providing executive management support of the company's business development efforts, Smith will serve as Project Executive on specific projects and will assist Cyr in the day to day executive management of the corporation.

Smith is a 2002 Graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University with a BS in Construction Management. He is active in both his community and industry having held positions with the Associated General Contractors, Georgia Branch Young Leaders, the Salvation Army of Central Georgia, the City of Perry Board of Building Appeals and Adjustments and the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee. He is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Perry and a current member of Rotary Club of Warner Robins.
